Project Summary

Festivak was the ideal stage for Pixxl.Vision to show what AI-powered event experiences can look like in practice. We brought two distinct activations to the floor, each drawing its own crowd throughout the day.

The Time Machine invited visitors to step out of the present entirely, choosing a moment in history, from ancient Egypt to the Middle Ages, and being transformed into a character from that era. The elegant dual-screen pedestal, with its golden time-dial interface, became a visual centrepiece of the event floor in its own right.

The Festival Booth let visitors become the star of their own music scene, selecting a genre like disco, rave, metal or hip hop and receiving a fully AI-generated portrait of themselves in that world. What made this activation particularly special was the collaboration with our booth sponsor: every portrait featured the person holding a perfectly rendered Brugse Zot beer glass. This was no small feat, standard AI image generation consistently fails to reproduce specific branded glassware accurately. We trained our in-house models on the correct beer glasses, which in Belgium would be a capital sin to get wrong!

Both activations offered instant printed takeaways as well as QR code downloads. Every visitor left with some prints and our custom magnets, something tangible and shareable. The wall of portraits growing throughout the day became a testament to the volume and variety of experiences delivered. From curious passersby to enthusiastic repeat visitors, Festivak confirmed that Pixxl.Vision’s AI experiences land exactly as intended: memorable, on-brand, and unlike anything else on an event floor.

A fun addition to the Time Machine booth was that if you smiled, you got a happy image. If you looked sad, a gloomy one. Gamification enhances the user experience.
